Spectrum at the Barre
The dance program works to positively impact the lives of families and children with a disability by providing dance classes and training for dance teachers.
We offer dance classes for children aged 3-12 with a disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, genetic conditions, non-speaking, blind and deaf children.

Rachel Dunne Fuga
DIRECTOR
Rachel qualifications include D.F.T.A, FitIn60 Barre Instruction, PBT and is completing her Short Course in Dance Adjudication at Transit Dance, she has also certified herself and her studio Keep Kids Safe in DANCE.
She also has a Dip. Sales & Marketing
She has been teaching for 30 years and dancing for over 40. Rachel started studying Classical Ballet (Cecchetti) & Tap at the Heidelberg Ballet School aged 2, then joined the world of Ballroom Dancing at age 5 training at Keith Collins School of Dance, Granada Dance Centre and The DanceWorx. She started her Jazz training at age 6.
Along with studying & passing many Cecchetti Ballet exams, Rachel has performed on numerous TV shows, appeared in many print media articles & has travelled internationally for competitions and floorshows. Rachel trained and competed professionally as a Ballroom Dancer and achieved many accolades. She was Australian Professional Rising Star Champion in both Latin & Standard, ranked 1st in Victoria over both styles, Victorian Theatrical Champion, represented Australia Internationally and won many State, National & International titles.
Rachel is also a board member of Dance Arts Alliance Inc., a not-for-profit organisation that aims to support, advocate, and unify Dance & Performing Arts Studio Owners and the industry as a whole.
Rachel has trained and loved all styles of dance and is passionate about passing this love of dance technique and music appreciation on to all her students.

Emily Jackson
DANCE INSTRUCTOR + VOCAL COACH
Emily has completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Musical Theatre, at The University of Ballarat Arts Academy and has completed a Diploma of Performance at The Dance Factory. She has also completed her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology at La Trobe University and works in the areas of accent and vocal rehabilitation.
Emily has been singing and dancing for 25 years and teaching for the past seven. Emily has trained in musical theatre, jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet and both contemporary and classical singing. As a performer, Emily has performed in Musical Theatre productions, numerous floor shows, showcases, demonstrations, promotional events, TV commercials and modelling contracts. As a choreographer, Emily’s work has been showcased in music videos and charity performances.
Emily lives and breathes performance and storytelling and loves teaching this skill to her pupils.

Brooke Chugg
DANCE AND PERFORMING ARTS INSTRUCTOR + TROUPE COACH
Brooke has recently completed her full-time training at Brent Street where she received her Certificate IV in Performing Arts along with an Outstanding Academic Award.
She has danced and competed for over 15 years in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary and Song & Dance, studying at Bee Bop Studios and Tasmania Academy of Dance. She has also trained in singing with Cara Tatnell.
Brooke has been teaching all styles for 5 years to all age groups and levels and was a part of the “Follow Your Dreams Competitions 2020 Associate Program”.
She has performed in numerous amateur Musical Theatre productions including, “Wicked” , “The King & I”, “Mary Poppins” and “Annie”, also receiving multiple competition awards including Overall Champion 2018 and National Champion Song & Dance 2018.
Brooke has recently moved to Melbourne from her native Tasmania to study Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.
Brooke loves to teach! She is passionate about dance, singing and performing and inspiring students be their best.

Jamaal Djajamihardja
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
SKILLS + TRICKS COACH
Jamaal has been dancing for over 14 years training in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, & Commercial. Growing up in Ballarat, he attended the prestigious Anita Coutts School of Dance, after moving to Melbourne, he continued his training at Patrick Studios Australia, obtaining a Certificate III in Dance.
Jamaal has been teaching classes and workshops for the past 2.5 years, has a Science Degree and is now completing his Master of Teaching (Secondary) at RMIT.
Jamaal is a strong stylist dancer with foundations in a range of styles, creating a wonderful, well-rounded understanding of dance.
He is passionate about creating choreography, technique training and passing down his love for dance to the next generation of talent.

Bridie Clark
MUSICAL THEATRE + BALLET INSTRUCTOR
Bridie was born in New Zealander and has over 20 years of dance, film, and theatre experience.
In 2008 Bridie auditioned for the full-time dance course at the National Theatre Ballet School where she graduated in 2010 with an Advance Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) CUA5011.
After graduating Bridie decided to retire her pointe shoes and take to Musical Theatre, where she was made Dance Captain in her first show out of college, being Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats”. Her passion for Musicals did not stop there & she had very successful seasons in “The King And I”, “42nd Street” and “Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street”.
In 2014 Bridie travelled to New York City where she joined Sue Samuels’ Jazz Roots Dance Company and the Colombian Dance Company of New York. She performed all over New York and the Tristate area, on Broadway and off-Broadway in various galas, productions, and events. While living in the USA Bridie taught and guest taught at various dance schools including the Broadway Dance Centre and Peridance Capezio Centre in New York. Bridie also trained dancers for the Youth American Grand Prix as well as many other dance competitions around the tristate.
Bridie is also the founder and artistic director of the Australian Dancers Project.

Sally Fellowes
VOCAL COACH
Sally has been teaching singing and dancing for over 20 years training at Johnny Young’s Talent School and privately under Liana Scali. She then went on to obtain her Associate Diploma of Dance Instruction and Management at Box Hill Institute.
She has performed with Elite Performance Teams at various events including MOOMBA, The Royal Melbourne Show, The Sidney Myer Music Bowl, The World Pater Awards & Disneyland. Sally has also appeared on multiple TV shows including Early Bird TV and The Good Friday Appeal.
Sally is a passionate vocal coach, focused on teaching proper breathing and vocal techniques, whilst drawing out student’s best emotional performance.
Plus, she’s super fun!

Lochlan Erard
DANCE INSTRUCTOR + DRAMA COACH
Over the years Lochlan’s career has seen him as a performer, choreographer, and dance teacher.
Whilst undergoing his training as a performer, Lochlan studied Musical Theatre and Dance Teaching and Management at Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance. Under the tutelage of Marko Panzic, Lochlan also took part in The Dream Dance Companies: Show/Business Melbourne course.Over the space of 2 years Lochlan performed across the world as a production cast dancer with Celebrity Cruise Lines. Lochlan has had the opportunity to play the leading roles of Pippin (Pippin) and Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors) with Parklife Productions under the direction of Kelly Aykers, Anthony Pepe, and Stephan Gray. Some of Lochlan’s dance highlights include the ICC Cricket World Cup (beside X Factors Nathaniel Willemse), YouTube Fanfest/Brandcast (Sydney, Australia), and various featured roles in Masters of Choreography productions “Once Upon a Time, Chapter 2” and “A Nightmare on Dance Street, 2”. Lochlan has choreographed a variety of musical and dance related productions including his work with Footlight Productions on Wicked, Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, and Mamma Mia. He is currently working on a production of Chicago set to open April 2022.
Lochlan is thrilled to be creative, but also grateful to be sharing his knowledge and experience with dance schools and theatre companies.

Selena Konidaris
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Selena has been a dancer for 15 years she began her dancing journey at the age of 3 in 2007 at dance discovery training in the styles of Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Acrobatics. She has completed A.T.O.D Jazz, Tap, ballet and hip-hop examinations and has qualified to compete in the ATOD Victorian and Australasian scholarships since 2015. She competed in many dance competitions and was Troupe Captain in 2018. Selena has been teaching for over 3 years & has continuously expanded her knowledge.
Selena has performed at the Moomba Parade, worked for Fame Agenda and attended many workshops such as Stephen Tannos and Mia Michaels. Selena has a passion for teaching kids, she is hard working and loves to see her students achieve their goals and reach their full potential in dance.
Sarah Ceraso
BALLET INSTRUCTOR
Sarah has been dancing for over 15 years starting with ballet, jazz and tap at Studio V. In the summer of 2011, she auditioned to train at The Australian Ballet School and was accepted. At the age of 10, she started in level 2 doing ballet, character, and strength and conditioning. She repeated level 2 in 2012 and in 2013 she progressed to level 3, partaking in ballet including pointe, character, contemporary, strength and conditioning, and psychology.
Sarah also danced at Lauren Wall School of Dance in 2016-2018 where she did mid-year cabaret performances, competitions and end of year performances. She has a Certificate IV of Dance Teaching and Management which was completed at Transit Dance full-time in 2021. She is currently dancing at Transit Dance apart of the Origins Elevate Contemporary Program.
Sarah is enthusiastic to teach dance and pass on her knowledge and experiences to others.

Harleigh-Rose Byrne
DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Harleigh-Rose began her dance journey in 2003 training in the styles of tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop and acrobatics, completing both RAD ballet and A.T.O.D Jazz, Tap and Ballet exams during her training.
Harleigh-Rose completed her Full time training with Kelly Aykers Full Time Dance where she received a Certificate 4 in Dance & has also gained her Cert III + IV in fitness through Australian Institute of Fitness to qualify as a personal trainer and fitness instructor.
Throughout the years Harleigh-Rose has had many opportunities to perform at multiple events around Melbourne including performing at Santa’s Magical Kingdom, Crown Casino, Skechers Store opening events, VFL Grand Final Eve Luncheons and more.
Harleigh-Rose was a Melbourne Aces and Geelong Korea cheerleader for two seasons with the Australian Baseball League and in 2020 was lucky enough to be chosen to be in the ‘Storm Street Crew’ for their performances in the Melbourne Storms NRL season. She continues her professional dance endeavours performing with the NBL for the South East Melbourne Phoenix basketball team.
She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and passion of dance with her students and motivating them to reach their full potential.

Alex Arrowsmith
TINYS INSTRUCTOR
Alex has been dancing for over 10 years studying Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Contemporary & Hip Hop, she also does vocal training. She is currently enrolled at Transit Dance to complete her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Studio Management in 2022.
Along with playing “Victoria” in our production of Cats and being appointed Assistant to the Choreographer, Alex has been assistant teaching for a number of years & is also completing her DanceStep training as extra study to enhance her teaching skills.
Alex is also a qualified Beauty Therapist. As the eldest of 6 children with a love of babies and toddlers, Alex is keen to start her teaching journey with us and pass her love of performing on to our youngest dancers.
